3006 Glenview Park Way Video Transcript:

Jason:    Jason Black here with you from Artisan Signature Homes along with Jon Mand with Lenihan Sotheby’s International Realty, coming to you from our listing at Glenview Park. This is Lot 7, also known as 3006 Glenview Park Way. I’ll let Jon give a few specifics of this beautiful home.

Jon:    Yeah, this is obviously brand new construction. Jason’s done a phenomenal job here. I think it’s turned out better than anybody expected. We’ve got just about 8,000 square feet under air now, 6,000 above grade, 2,000 in the lower level and as many as seven bedrooms, as we were just talking about.

Jason:    When I design a house like this in this price point, I’m trying to appeal to as many people as possible. This plan has actually two bedrooms on the first floor. It could be used as an in-law suite. We could use it as a first floor exercise room, first floor office, craft room. It could be whatever the family’s needs are. We’re trying to be flexible. Same with, we’ve got an enormous carriage house finished over top of the garage that has a separate entrance, its own bathroom, and it could be a yoga studio, exercise room. It could be the kids come home from college or coming home for the holidays, they can stay in there.

We’ve got 12-foot ceilings in the great room. 12-foot ceilings in the kitchen. One of the coolest hoods I’ve seen us do. I mean this hood’s probably eight-foot tall and maybe about ten foot wide. It’s pretty massive.

Jon:    It fits with the scale of the home.

Jason:    That’s right. I call it King of the Hood. We’ve got some nice professional style appliances going in. We’ll have a 48-inch dual fuel range. Built-in refrigeration. There’s a nice butler’s pantry that leads you to the formal dining room and the butler’s pantry’s got another opportunity for a little under counter fridge. Walk-in pantry. How about the master suite in this home?

Jon:    That’s right, 20-foot ceilings in the master bedroom is not something you see every day.

Jason:    That’s right. We’ve done a lot of shiplap in this house. We’ve got a cool shiplapped ceiling up there with some beams. A nice fireplace in the master, so you can really kick back after a long day. And really the wing of this house is truly fit for a king. From the spa back to the huge walk-in closet, really I don’t know what else you could ask for in a master suite.

Jon:    You checked just about every box, I think.

Jason:    We’re putting the finishing touches on it now. Cabinets are in. Painters are in there. We’re going with a real light and airy finish, pale gray on the walls. We’re probably within two months of completion, so the first part of next year. The granite has been ordered. We’re doing a nice marble throughout. Got some gold tones in it. Lot of nice gold or antique brass accents with a lot of the fixtures in there. Lighter on the floors.

The exterior’s almost done. We just laid sod a few weeks ago. We’re finishing touching up the paint. We haven’t installed our gaslight yet, but we’ll have our signature Bevolo hanging gaslight over the front door.

If somebody comes along, we could obviously move up production a little bit, but we’re on pace for, probably, a January finish on this one.

Jon:    Fantastic. So, Jason, one of the things that I really love about this house and I think a lot of the clients I’ve shown it have also appreciated it, is that every bedroom upstairs has its own details or some kind of flavor to it. Tell me a little bit about that.

Jason:    Above grade, this house, we’ve got about 6,000 square feet. My vision is somebody with a larger family, several kids up there, and when the kids go to their space they want to be comfortable. The three to four bedrooms upstairs, depending on how you use it, each have their own bathroom and all the bedrooms have their own neat … So, we’ve got a domed ceiling in one room.

Jon:    I love it.

Jason:    We’ve got a shiplap accent wall. We’ve got a vaulted or a hip vaulted ceiling in one of the bedrooms. This bedroom on the front here has got a balcony off of it with a vaulted ceiling. It’s got its own walk-in closets. If you’ve got the budding diva or divo kiddo, they can have their own suite upstairs. Some built-in bookcases in some of the rooms.

One of the great things I like about this plan, because we do have the 12-foot ceilings on the first floor, we finished the room over the great room. So, you take a couple of steps up and there’s an enormous playroom up there that kids can have their buddies over after school or on the weekends, hang out, and still be out of Mom and Dad’s way. Put a nice sectional couch up there, TV, ping pong, whatever you want.

Jon:    Yeah, that’s a big family room or media area or whatever space you use it for.

Jason:    One of the things that you probably won’t see unless you go in the unfinished room of this house is we’ve done spray foam insulation. We’ve got multiple furnaces in here, zoned, and everything like that. Complete spray foam package, so you’re going to have a lot of comfort in this house for years to come and see some reduced energy bills as well.
